Simple Chores Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Simple Chores is created by nCo_Captain to help parents and caregivers manage chores, points, rewards, and family progress. This policy explains what information Simple Chores uses and how that information is handled.

Information stored only on your device

Simple Chores can be used without creating an account. Chores, rewards, points, activity history, child profiles, parent preferences, and other family setup information may be stored locally on the device.

Local information remains on that device unless an adult chooses to use Simple Chores Family cloud features or removes the app or its stored data.

Grown-up accounts

Parents and caregivers may create an optional grown-up account. Account information may include an email address, an internal account identifier, authentication information, and session information. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not visible to Simple Chores.

Children do not create accounts. An adult may choose to enter a child's first name, nickname, avatar, chores, rewards, points, and related family activity.

Cloud household information

Simple Chores Family may store household information in the cloud, including the household name, connected adult members, child profiles, chores, rewards, points, activity history, and backup status. This allows signed-in parents and caregivers to back up progress and share a household across devices.

Subscriptions and purchases

Subscription status and purchase identifiers may be processed by RevenueCat and the applicable app store, such as Apple App Store or Google Play. Simple Chores does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Service providers

Simple Chores uses service providers for authentication, secure cloud storage, subscription management, app distribution, hosting, and technical operation. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

How information is used

Information is used to:

Information sharing

Simple Chores does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with connected household adults, service providers needed to operate the app, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service.

Data retention

Cloud account and household information is retained while the grown-up account or connected household remains active. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction processing.

Account and data deletion

A signed-in adult can permanently delete their grown-up account from the Grown-up Account section inside Simple Chores.

If the adult owns a household, deletion also removes that household's cloud backup, invitations, memberships, and caregiver access. If the adult is a caregiver, deletion removes that adult's account and household access while leaving the owner's household intact.

Device-only chore information remains on the device unless the user separately removes it. Deleting a Simple Chores account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Children's privacy

Simple Chores is designed for use by parents and caregivers. Children are not asked to create accounts, provide email addresses, or independently submit personal information. Adults control the family information entered into the app.

Security

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect cloud information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Simple Chores changes. The latest version and effective date will remain available on this page.
